I think the author of the book is writing from personal experience. Because the girl Imogene she is going through life awfully like how every girl in the world is. Imogene she is vying for a internship ata fashion forecasting agenct. And i think that maybe when the author was also 16. She might have experience the same thing that happens to Imogene. I also think that the author is writing from her own experience because evry single detail in the book is so clear. Like the author is writing what she experience when she was teenager. I really like way she writes as if she is the person telling the story from the way she sees it.
